PRESS RELEASE 14.04.2009 Eesti Pank issues collector coins dedicated to the Estonian National MuseumOn Wednesday, 15 April, Eesti Pank will issue a 10-kroon silver collector coin dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Estonian National Museum. The coin is in the form of a spoke coin. The collector coin will be presented to the public by Governor of Eesti Pank at 12 o'clock in the Estonian National Museum (Tartu, Kuperjanovi 9). The reverse of the coin depicts a notebook of a folklore collector, where descriptions and stories of people and their lives have been recorded over time. The placeholder of the notebook meanders as a village road, connecting yesterday with today and tomorrow. In addition, the reverse of the coin carries its nominal value 10 KROONI. The obverse of the collector coin bears the grand national coat of arms of the Republic of Estonia and the year 2009. The collector coin has been designed by Liis Dvorjanski. The coins were minted by the Mint of Finland and their mintage is 6,000. The silver coins will be put on sale at the Eesti Pank Museum in Tallinn (Estonia pst 13) and at the Estonian National Museum in Tartu
(Kuperjanovi 9) on Wednesday, 15 April, at 12.00. One coin costs 400 kroons. In addition, the collector coins will be sold by SEB offices
in different places of Estonia: in the Tornimäe, Lasnamäe Centrum and Pae offices in Tallinn and in the SEB head offices in Maardu, Rapla,
Pärnu, Haapsalu, Kuressaare, Kärdla, Rakvere, Kiviõli, Jõhvi, Narva, Paide, Viljandi, Põltsamaa, Jõgeva, Põlva, Võru, Valga and Tartu. The collector coins are also available for purchase by mail.
